About Us

The governing authority overseeing the cemetery is officially known as Township #2 Public Cemetery District, the trustees of which are appointed by the Amador County Board of Supervisors. The trustees meet monthly (on the second Thursday of the month) to supervise cemetery employees, oversee cemetery operations, and institute new (and revise existing) rules and regulations for the cemetery.

The board’s goals include providing local residents with a peaceful, attractive, place of final rest, maintaining historic sites on the grounds, and assisting genealogists and historians in their research.
